Thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors and promoters who made this race happen. Elliott and Daniella, owners of Bike Newport and all their people put on a great venue. The clam free chowder and pizza was awesome and there were porta potties for all, no standing in line or wizzing in the woods, unlike the last mtn bike race with 2 porta potties for over 200 racers.

The crowd was reminiscent of a cyclocross race and the packet pickup party with Rogue on tap and the bike powered margarita blender set the tone for a great weekend of racing. The singletrack downhills, open grassy meadows and shady climbs through the private forest made for one of the best races in a while. Ben Eder was surely smiling on us all. Even the weather was great. Did I mention over $5000 in raffle giveaways and a top payout for the Pros? Doesn't get much better.

If you did not make it this year, there is always next year.
