Oregon RR- Driving on the course

I agree with Greg. I was in the group with him. In the final corner I broke away from the group, caught the van again at about 300 meters, yelled at them to move over so I could pass them and finish. The van eased slowly into the left lane and I got by...10 feet from #1 in my category on the line.
The result is what it is, but the driver was way out of line.

There was indeed a bike on the back. The truck was going slow and
seemed to be alongside two riders when we encountered it shortly after
the hard right hand turn. It was slow enough that it made my chase
group of 6-7 guys to slow down until after enough yelling and perhaps
a few ill chosen words, it pulled ahead. Don't know it we could have
caught the leaders without it but it's presence sure guaranteed that
we couldn't.

A pickup up truck associated with one of the women riders was driving out on
the course today. It stopped at the finish line during the sprint for the
masters finish and directly changed the course of the race. If we could have
found out which rider it was with, we would have disqualified the entire
team. Please pass this message along to your significant others, team mates
or whatever. Please stay off the road when there is a race in progress
unless you have volunteered at the race and are part of the caravan
