I might suggest talking to an attorney before talking to the people hired to protect the person who just hurt you, who do not have your best interest in mind (also known as the insurance for the other guy)

Call his Insurance Company and file a claim. Get the claim number. Find the bike shop that can duplicate your current bike or it's value. Call adjuster on Monday.

I was hit by a car yesterday and was curious what you would recommend doing. The driver stopped and I got his info. and he was in the wrong ( took a right hand turn into me with no blinker). I just suffered a soar shoulder and some road rash but my bike got pretty banged up (crushed front wheel and scrapes all over the frame). I know all the medical costs will be covered but what about my bike? What exactly am I entitled to?
