Here is a story from Velonews about a theft of TIBCO's bikes before the Ladies Exergy Tour of Idaho.
Thieves sacked the Tibco-To the Top trailer in Boise, Idaho, this
morning, making away with many of the team’s race bikes and wheels. The
break-in comes on the eve of the Exergy Tour in Boise.
According to team captain Meredith Miller, the trailer was parked at
the race hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, in Boise and the break-in took
place between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. The
perpetrators took 14 bikes, including all of the team’s time trial bikes and the road bikes belonging to athletes not yet on-site for the race.
Also missing are the team’s spare road bikes and a number of race
wheels.
“Of course this is a devastating blow to the team, but it’s not insurmountable challenge,” Miller told VeloNews in an email. “The team in Boise is tough and this won’t stop them from
racing their bikes as best they can. If nothing else, this will give
them even more firepower to prove themselves and their strength.”
Miller asked that anyone with information related to the crime contact Boise police or the team’s mechanic, Chris via ckreidl at gmail.com
