Get Ready for the 2012 Second Ascent Ballard Criterium - June 2nd!

Ballard Crit

2012-05-24

The 19th Annual Second Ascent Ballard Criterium is just around the corner:
Saturday, June 2nd. Come help us kick off the month of June with some
high-speed racing on a classic and challenging four-corner course right in
the heart of Ballard.

If you haven't done this race in the past you need to know that the rowdy
crowds and the prizes both make this a great event. We have plenty of cool
stuff for primes and prizes for top finishers... AND cash money. This year
we have great prizes, including $100 primes from The Ballard Loft, Rainier
Bike Law, Ravenna Capitol Management, as well as tons of other prizes from
the following sponsors: Planet Bike, Hammer Nutrition, Raleigh Bicycles,
FSA, Pampeana Empandas, Look Pedals, Veloshine Wipes, Ballard Pizza
Company, Defeet socks, Julbo Sunglasses, Petzl Headlamps, Bicycle Heroes,
Union Physical Therapy, Capo clothing, Kavu clothing, Chef'n, and as always
great coffee from Galileo Coffee.

You can find more information about the race, including links to our
supporters and start times at: http://theballardcrit.blogspot.com/

OBRA racers have made for some exciting racing at Ballard and put up some
great results in years past. How 'bout you all come up this year and show
the Washington racers how it's done?

Mark your calendars and sign up early. We will have day of registration and
rental numbers available for racers who don't have WSBA numbers. But a few
fields sell out every year. So make sure you pre-register to guarantee your
spot in the 2012 Second Ascent Ballard Criterium. You don't want to miss
this race!

Pre-Registration is now open:
www.usacycling.org/myusac/index.php?pagename=registration&eventid=1495&year=2012
Online registration closes at 10:00 pm MDT Thursday, May 31st, 2012.

With the Washington State Individual Time Trial Championship the next day,
why not make a weekend of it?
