Hello all,

For anybody who was looking to replace the Wednesday night TT's on Skyliners rd., then I have just the ticket!

Starting tomorrow evening, and going each Wednesday night during the month of June, there will be a Hill Climb that takes riders to the very top of Three Creeks road in Sisters. For anybody who has not done it, I would have to say it is one of the hardest climbs in the area.

Registration is at the Village Green park in downtown Sisters from 5:30 and ends at 6:20. The first rider goes off at 6:30 followed by 1 minute intervals after that. Registration is $10, and is on site only. Each person will be given a start time when they register. Riders will need to show OBRA licenses on site, or they can purchase an annual or one day license on site. Numbers need to be placed on the right side of the back.

>From start to finish it is 14.3 miles, and the road is clear all the way to the gravel(where you stop)! You can keep an eye out for the Mile posts along the way for a distance indicator. There is another 3.2 miles of hard climbing at elevation past the snow park (where the Cascade Classic finishes). Racing will be to the finish line ONLY! Riders are asked to use EXTREME caution when they roll downhill to the park. The road is bumpy coming down, and you may want to bring a shell jacket for the way down.

Normal TT rules will be in effect.. No drafting, and No centerline violations. The road is open to traffic, so please stay on the right side at all times. Also, please be kind and do not litter! It is a big deal for the US Forest service to allow us to have a race on this road, and simply putting a gel packet in your pocket is not a big deal.

As far as pointers... Make sure you save some gas in the tank for the last 3 miles! It may be a good idea to have some clip on TT bars for the flat areas, but once you hit the steeper grades, they won't do you much good.

There are two categories... Men, and Women. Winners from each category will get a free dinner at Three Creeks brewing, which is where any riders can go to recover after the race. Please thank them for the support!

On a side note. This is the first time I have put a TT race together, and my goal is to have a good time. The entry fee hopefully covers all of the insurance, forest service permits, and for the kids from Sisters High who will be doing the timing. I can't wait to see if anybody can break an hour! My best time to the top was 1:06, and I know some people who are better climbers can break the hour! Come out, and show us how you can climb!!!

Best Wishes,
Joel Palanuk
