No, I think that's unnecessary. The course is suitable for all levels
of riders. A crash could happen anywhere at any time. Sometimes you
walk away, sometimes you're wheeled (sadly...). We have over an hour
to preride the course and should have the lines dialed by our race
start. If not, and you're riding it blind, then hold back.
Aggressive riders will always be aggressive, they ride on the edge.
Dumbing down the course won't reduce or fix that behavior. I have no
idea if the crashed rider was riding aggressively or was riding over
or his skill level or taken out or wasn't focused, whatever, but
sanitizing an already non-technical course won't solve anything.
You're right, there's lots to learn here, but it has nothing to do
with course design. I hope the guy is okay, still haven't heard who
it was or his condition.
