OBRA TT Cup series

At the Promoters meeting 3-4 years ago (or so), it was discussed
setting the dates
for Championship events FIRST and then setting the remainder of the
calendar. The
reason being becuase there ARE many riders out there who are
multi-disciplined.
By having competing champ events, riders are forced to choose - right
or wrong.

There are times when I think that we (OBRA) have become victims of our
own success.

Riders that are in championship form for both Time Trial and Short
Track are that numerous?

Well Rick, the BAR system encourages riders to try a diversity of disciplines and Championship events give extra points in addition to the cool title and jersey if you win. Just counting the Hart family on team Hapi-GO! they've got 4 juniors who could seriously contend at both of those disciplines if they weren't scheduled on the same day. Three of the Hart girls won the BAR awards last year. This year they're in the chase to pick up another 3 or 4 of those champion jersies. Wouldn't it be a crime if even just one got excluded?

Riders that are in championship form for both Time Trial and Short
Track are that numerous?

Every revolutionary idea seems to evoke three stages of reaction...
One, it's completely impossible.
Two, it's possible, but it's not worth doing.
Three, I said it was a good idea all along.

date, but maybe it will settle where it is now.
