The High Desert Omnium is one of those great local races that showcases the beauty and diversity of bike racing in Central Oregon. This year the crit and TT are east of town near the Bend Airport and the road race is still on the amazing loop out in the Cascades where it's been held the last several years.

We know there are a lot of events that require volunteers, so we especially appreciate your support of this race. Every year this race has been growing and every year we receive great feedback from the racers, much of it because of the volunteers who make the race safe and fun!

Benefits to volunteers:

* Front row seat to the bike racing action
* Lunch provided if your shift goes through a meal time
* Flaggers and corner marshals get gift certificates
* Lead and follow car drivers get gas money and gift certificates

Available positions are posted here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Anazv5irT_0fdFBFRVlwTV9Sdnp4NVNqNW5IY2xIR1E

Just sign up in the spot you like and don't forget to add your phone and e-mail in the spaces provided. Note the different tabs for the different races.

For the crit, you'll see that I started to split the marshal spots for shorter duration for those who would like to race and volunteer or for those who would just prefer to be out there a little less time. Let me know if you'd like to do that and I'll adjust the spreadsheet accordingly.

All volunteers will get an e-mail a few days prior to the race with volunteer check-in location, map and any specific instructions for your position.

If you have any questions at all, you can e-mail me at mary@dvaadv.com or call my cell at 541-390-8615.
