Thanks Ron. That is why I threw it out as a question. I was thinking just some simple verbal instruction while riding around. I didn't know the details of the permit. But I am respectful of traffic laws before 600. I figured there are probably a few employees of the local companies that don't like the races. Most definitely the guy that saw the whole Cat 4/5 field coming around the corner straight at his car.
PS. Do you think the people at Harvest House have a problem with me completely stripping down to change? I don't do it on their "Private" grass. I do it on the sidewalk. :)

I support the idea of teaching/helping new racers get comfortable. I'm not trying to discourage that. BUT...
Just keep in mind that there are some folks at the local businesses that already don't appreciate our presence a whole lot. Also, the course is open to traffic until the cones are set up (which is usually 6pm or later), and you would likely see many more cars out there at 5:15pm than you're used to at closer to 6:00pm.
I think either Sal's permit or agreements with the tenants specify a time that he can set up. It could create some conflicts if we have packs of riders circling the course (and probably running stop signs) an hour before racing starts.
