Just a short update about Jeremy. For those of you that don't know Jeremy

he is the Top American in the UCI World Ranking for Observed Trials.



Jeremy's second competition of the year was a big one. The first round of

the North American Trials Series was held yesterday, in Harrisburg, PA. It

is held in a huge building with indoor motorcycle racing and much more.

During the three days of the event, it is common to have over 80,000 people

come through the doors.



Most people have never heard of the North American Trials Series, but it is

the Championship Series for North America. The series starts in Feb. and

usually runs through about Sept or late August.



The best trials riders in the US, Canada and even some South American riders

were at the event. This first stop in always the hardest event for Jeremy

because it mostly consists of huge ups and very little technical riding.

Jeremy's strongest point is his technical riding.



Jeremy flew in to Harrisburg late Friday night, quickly put is bike together

and competed on Saturday.



The top three riders had a great battle and Jeremy had a great chance to win

the competition, but slipped off a beam in the last round and got a five.

The end result of this mistake was he placed second behind the great

Brazilian rider Chris Santos. Chris is not only a great trials rider and

Brazilian National Champion, but is a multiple time Brazilian National

Champion Kickboxer.



Jeremy was very excited to place second behind Chris and was the top

American. This was a real accomplishment for him, since the greatest

American trials rider of all time, and current US National Champion JJ was

competing. JJ has more NORBA National Championships than any American

Champion in any of the NORBA events and has dominated the sport of trials

for at least 6-7 years.



Jeremy had a great time and is looking forward to an exciting season. If

his plans workout, he will be going to Europe to compete 3 or 4 times this

year in World Cup Events. This along with doing the NORBA National

Championship events and the North American Trials series will be the main

emphasis of his season. Along with his competition schedule Jeremy will be

doing more demos than ever before. He hopes to see you at some of his demos

this year. He will be doing events in the Northwest such as Derby Days in

Redmond, Washington, STP Seattle to Portland, and possibly the Alpenrose

Challenge, the Grants Pass Boatnik and many others.



It looks like racing is off to a great start here in Oregon, we hope to be

at some of the races latter on in the year. Like the ones without rain and

snow.



It sure is great to see many of Oregon's riders doing well on a national

level! Great local events build great riders.
