Hello OBRA,
I'm including the text from my last blast, below, for those that may have missed it. I just wanted to include a couple more notes about the race:

There is still time to get in on the first 50 registrations to grab yourself one of our swag bags but registrations are piling up so get yours by signing up ASAP to beat the wait till the last minute crowd.

We will have the awesome Sellwood Cycle Repair on site in case you have some kind of mechanical before you start your race .

We'd also like to thank all our other sponsors, listed below, for their gracious support of our team and the race.

We are less than one week away from the inaugural Wildcat Mountain Uphill Challenge sponsored by Team ESC Sports - Bio Racer, Sellwood Cycle Repair, Wenzel Coaching, Core Balance, AcuOm, and Tapalaya Restaurant. Registration will close at 3:00 PM Next Friday to allow us time to prepare the start list.

A few things to consider:

PARKING:

There is lots of parking in Eagle Fern Park. However, it does cost $5.00 to bring your car in there. If you carpool, you can split the cost.

If you just dont want to park in the park, there are a few spots alongside the road on Eagle Fern Rd, within 1 mile or less from the start area, where you can pull over and park like the one attached to this email. If you park in one of the roadside spots, just make sure you are at the start line five minutes before your time to go.

EAGLE FERN PARK :

We will be located in picnic area #3. There are plenty of benches to hang out and side in the shade if you want. There is wonderful mountain water available at the site as well. We will be using the parks bathrooms so please be respectful and help keep them clean (and no peeing in the bushes please).

FAMILY:

Eagle Fern Park is a big, beautiful park. The smart racer might just bring their family along to play at the park for the day. There is also a barbeque in our area (although I dont believe we will be starting a fire in it or roasting anything). While there are no showers available to clean up in after your race, there are two creeks within walking distance of the park, Eagle Creek and a tributary that flows into it are right there at the park.

You are welcome in picnic area #3 with us until we leave, likely are 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM. We need to make sure we leave the area as we found it, clean, so if you decide to stay in the site after we leave we only ask for you to also leave it like you found it.

RACE:

This is a beautiful coarse and there are wildly scenic areas on your way to the finish line if you can breathe well enough to look to your right and left.

There are a couple of really fast sections and some milder sections on it for the power climber, along with steeper sections for the pure climbers in the crowd.

All in all this is a beautiful venue that we hope will have the turnout we need to be able to bring it to you again next year.

Also, remember that there are swag bags being given away, from our sponsors, to the first 50 registrants. So get that registration done on the OBRA website and dont wait till the last minute.

It looks like Summer has finally arrived too so that creek may just look mighty good to you after your race. Eagle Fern Park was one of the rest stops on the old Wheelman Torture 10,000 organized ride and we always loved this stop because its so beautiful.
