E-Racer
Hello all. A couple of updates for everyone:
* First best wishes to everyone as the summer is in full swing!!!!!! What a great place to race!
* Second - Don't forget to thank our officials and volunteers without who's help - none of this would be possible.
* A portion of the proceeds will be donated on behalf of OUCH & OBRA to the Corbett School District via the local neighborhood community to say thank you to our local community we are a part of.
* Roads - We have our permits and the road construction does NOT interfere with the race. Construction will start later and only affects folks going DOWN the Columbia Gorge Scenic Hwy and not UP to Larch Mtn so to answer one question: There is no time bonus/handicap for alleged road construction.
* Conditions - The last ride up was excellent weather. There is no snow, the roads are good, and we expect a great time for all.
* Bags - Bag check for food, water, jackets, etc, driven to the top will take place. Please bring your bag to the bag-check table as early as possible.
* Prizes - Commemorative water bottles and finishing medals for everyone who reaches the top because "anyone can ride downhill"
* Championship tune up - The State TT championships are looking into the possibility of using the fabled Larch Mtn TT starting ramp. Wouldn't some practice be a good idea?
* The initial starting list will be posted approximately Monday evening.
* This is a perfect course for everyone. Season veterans try to best their times, while we traditionally see a large turnout of folks riding their very first time trial or even race! Also large groups of Masters categories challenging their age related neighbors. This is the same course and while we have not in the past, we should break down age and category records besides just overall. Maybe we should start with the times from this year :)
* Registration numbers are pretty low be we are having an event no matter what so come out but we would certainly appreciate the support.
