Franz Bakery Criterium supported by Veloce Racing p/b Smith & Nephew
Rise to the Top!
In its third year, the Franz Bakery Criterium is an 8-corner criterium located in Portland's Central Eastside. The wide-open streets provide lots of open space to move around in the field. The 2012 criterium will be part of the Women's Cat 4/5 Series.
Thank you to our sponsors: Franz Bakery, Veloce Bicycles, Ironclad, Merrell Apparel and Sokol Blosser.
Race Format
This criterium will be scored as a points race. The winner of each lap will receive two points. On the final lap, the top 15 riders will earn points in the final sprint (30-25-22-19-17-15-13-11-9-7-5-4-3-2-1). There is also $5 per lap prize to the winner of each lap in the Men Cat 3, Women 1-3 and Men 1-3 races. It pays to be aggressive at this race. The rider with the most points wins the race.
