Happy Friday - we are almost there. Here are the highlights and FAQ's you need to help make our 11th year another success (if you don't find your answer - email and we'll get you taken care of)
* Please take a moment to thank our volunteers and OBRA staff without whom - this is not possible. CR: Cal Stone, with Officials Kelli Schauer, and Candi Murray. Truck loader Dan the Man Carlson. Volunteers from Beaverton based Team Elkhorn.
* A special thanks to Trailhead Coffee Roasters (
http://www.trailheadcoffeeroasters.com/) for providing a surprise set of primes (such as a TT can have). We will let you know how the prime works during your start. Thanks Trailhead!!!!
* Numbers are on your LEFT and across your BACK. Please make this clear for our officials. Even TT's can be tough.
* This is an OBRA event, all rules apply - you represent the world of cycling. Be a gold medal winner and ambassador of our sport. There is no warmup on the course, helmets must be worn at all times you are on a bike, please use care when returning from the finish.
* Grayed out areas on the starting list are for Officials, Safety, and Timing/Scoring issues. There are no riders during those times. Day-of Registration will start on a first-come first-served order following pre-registered riders.
* Riders with "PAPER" as their number in YELLOW highlight, will need to pick up they temporary number at the FAQ table on Sunday morning. You do NOT need to go to main registration, just pick it up at the FAQ/Bag Check table. Please return your number at the finish or back at the starting area.
* There will be an FAQ table for questions. If you are pre-registered and on the starting list - you should not need to go to Main/Day-of registration. We will try to reduce that traffic at the day-of-table by checking with the FAQ table first.
* Bags will be taken to the top with the officials crew shortly after the race clock begins. Please have your bags to the FAQ/Bag Check table before then. For later folks, we would invite a volunteer driving up - to help take any last minute bags.
* Please note the Clock time and Start time on the starting sheet and plan your warmup accordingly. A reminder for our new riders, the race clock will begin at 00:00:00 as close to the time-of-day-clock at 9:30:00am as possible. (See next bullet)
* Day of registrations begin at 8:00am and are encouraged and welcomed, however, in order to start the race clock at 9:30am please be courteous and arrive in time so registration can close promptly at 9:00am and officials can print out sheets and properly prepare for you to have a great day.
* As always, the traditional commemorative OUCH waterbottle and optional finishing medal awaits you at the top with additional water. There is no food at Sherrard Point, but there are restroom facilities.
* Friends and Family can drive to the top. Please be aware a $5/vehicle day-of-permit is required by the USDA-Forest Service who manage Sherrard Pt. When driving along the course to the finish PLEASE USE CARE AND CAUTION along the road. Please do not stop along the way, there is not much shoulder and congestion can make it tough for others.
* We have a few requests to score (in addition to your race category) a Clydesdales category. If you are interested, please let the starter know so we can break out and recognize all the winners here.
* OUCH is proud to be a supporter of the local Corbett School District. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local neighborhood association on behalf of OBRA for designation as part of a scholarship fund they manage. Thank you for being a part of that.
* Thank you so much for your support, feedback, and kind words.
Fun Racing, Safe Travels.
