That's right. The Kermesse is a go, but it won't be at Kruger's Farm this
year.
Basically, Don Kruger told me two weeks ago - at one of his farm concerts -
that they coudn't host the event this year because they had already
committed to host the more prestigious Muddy Buddy event and they are only
allowed to do one sporting event (or mass gathering) per quarter. This came
as a complete surprise and it took me a few to find another farm venue.
The good news is that my good friends Matt and Dana Furrow offered to host
the event at their Christmas tree and hazelnut farm in the Helvetia area
(rural Hillsboro, just north of Hwy 26). Furrow Farm is located on NW West
Union Rd in Hillsboro, about 25' from downtown Portland and is easily
accessible by MAX + bike. The course is going to be somewhat similar (all
unpaved double track farm roads) and at the same time very different (much
more shade on the course) from the course at Kruger's Farm. I plan to post
a course preview video in the next days, but you can already check out the
