A few final notes about the Giro di Portland tomorrow:
- Pre-reg will close at midnight tonight (
http://obra.org/events/20339/register).
- Onsite reg will officially open at 3:00 PM at 14th and Johnson, but we
may have it open a little earlier.
- We are aiming to have the course all closed off and ready to ride at 3:00
so you can get some laps in before your race.
- We will be providing race numbers, so leave your OBRA numbers at home.
You will pin them on your left side.
- Pit will be wheels in, wheels out, so please bring a spare set.
- Make sure to bring your OBRA card so we can verify your membership.
- The beer/wine garden will be open for a while after the race, so stop by
and celebrate.
There are a lot of small businesses and restaurants, many of them Italian
owned, that have contributed to making this event great. Please try and
support them and let them know that you appreciate their support. Also,
please come out to the Festa Italiana at Pioneer Courthouse Square, August
23rd-25th.

The last Portland criterium of the season, the Giro di Portland, is this
coming Saturday. It is also the last race of the year long Oregon Cup
series. This is not one to be missed.
The Festa Italiana Portland and Giro Events are excited to bring criterium
bicycle racing back to the streets of Portlands Pearl District this August
for a second year. The Giro di Portland will be held on the afternoon and
evening of August 18th and will provide great entertainment for the entire
family. Make sure to bring your kids to participate in the free BTA Kids
Race.
New this year, the Festa Italiana will have a food court with beer/wine
garden along the course. Come hang out, get a beer, a panini, and watch
some great racing.
