Stewart, great job on the washing/sanding/staining you did on my two decks
and three fences. They all look great now.

So this is my last posting of the summer.
There is only one month left of washing and sealing decks and fences. As I learned last year, that if I try to push into the fall, scheduling around possible rain showers becomes a pain in the butt.
As of Oct 1st, Ill be packing up my sealing/staining supplies. Once business slows down in the fall and I have more office time, I am working on a maintenance program for any decks that I have done in the past and any future decks that I will be doing.
The general thought of the maintenance program is to offer extremely cheep cleaning and sealer touch up. The sealer that I use is rated to last 6 years, which really means 4 years in our wet climate. So this program will be for 4 years and then a complete wash and restain will be needed.
Many OBRA members have taken advantage of my services, not only just for decks. However, cleaning a deck is almost a safety and preventative issue. An untreated deck will grow lots of slick algae and moss, making you deck unsafe to walk around on. Not to mention that an untreated deck will start rotting the wood, this is an extremely costly repair.
Thanks for reading this, I know some of you are annoyed with my posting, but I know a lot of you know that I produce good work at fair prices. Not to mention all the other work that I do for OBRA such as the velodrome rebuild project that was started by me cleaning the track this past winter and then this fall many of you will see me out at the cx races with my washer as you walk away with a clean bike.
Thanks again,
Stewart Campbell
