CX bike washing

So if you remember me that I was out at a few races last year offering $5 bike washing.  It seemed that most people felt that it was worth it.  What I can do in 5 min for $5, normally takes at least an hour with a garden hose.

For those of you that are skeptical about a pressure washer being near a bike, don't worry! I know bikes and I know pressure washing, basically that's all I've done with my life for the past 4+ years.  The method that I use does use more pressure than a garden hose sprayer, but the pressure is less direct pressure.  This eliminates blasting dirt into parts that you don't want dirt.

Anyhow, this weekend would be great to be out there but I am still slammed with work right now.  My work should taper down during October, so I will definitely try to make it out to some of the races when the weather gets really bad.

Oh yea, I'm racing the master C's this year, so I'll be set up a bit later in the morning.

I'll give y'all a heads up before I am out bike washing at any of the races.

Thanks,
Stewart Campbell

CX bike washing update:

I want to thank those of you that have already given me feed back on how Bridge City Pressure Washing can make your life easier by making your bike cleaner after a cx race.

Im still in the planning phase before the rain comes, but here are some ideas that are in the workings.

My overall goal is just to get my name out there, advertisement. Im not looking at cx bike washing as a way to get rich, ha ha. Since Im a roadie, Im still learning about cx races. Like I never knew that yall (mainly seniors) have pit bikescool concept, and that these pit bikes need to be washed during the actual race. I just thought that with bike washing, I was saving you guys 2 hours from cleaning your own bikes as youre trying to get ready to go to work on Monday.

It looks like I might be working for a couple of teams as their bike washer, just for a handful of races. Other race promoters want me to work for them so they can offer free washes to yall. However, at other races, I want to be available to everyone for the $5 bike washings.

So the bottom line is this will be my trial run year. I am only one man entering what could be a great business idea. But with doing this for advertisement and not much money, I cant really hire a crew. I will try to do as much as I possible can this year. Mainly I want to see what the demand might be for me out at the races. Who knowsmaybe next year I might have a full crew working for race teams, the promoter, and the general public (racers.)

Someone mentioned to me that there is a junior that offers $15 hand washingwho is that? I want them to work for me!!! This gave me the idea that if there are any other juniors that would like to make a few extra bucks this fall, for them to contact me. Im looking for age 16+, mainly for the maturity level. Who knows this could turn into a real job when they turn 18. My business is growing and would love to train some one to take over some of my hands on work so that I can have more office time to generate more work.

If anyone has anymore input towards Bridge City Pressure Washing at the cx races, please let me know!

Thanks,
