The gang at Rebound/Tireless Velo is super excited to bring you the first annual Zaandercross Cyclocross race on September 22nd at Frenchman's Bar in Vancouver, WA, part of the 2012 GPTB Series. For those of you who don't know Frenchman's Bar s a beautiful park on the Columbia River which offers us lots of interesting and challenging terrain and plenty of sand.
Racers should expect some running as well as a good 5-6 dismounts/remounts per lap. There's power sections as well as finesse and technical sections but not much in the way of hills. We'll have lots of prizes from our great sponsors at Bogs footwear, The Commons Brewing, and FSA. Mulitple "Sandman" prizes will be awarded during the day for riders who distinguish themselves in the sand. Keep in mind, all proceeds will be donated to P:ear, supporting homeless and transitional youth in PDX
