Honey Stinger Junior Races at Future Cross
Race Benefits Junior Racers Attending US Cyclocross Nationals
BEND, ORE. Honey Stinger, maker of pure natural energy foods, is
sponsoring the Junior cyclocross races at Future Cross on Sunday,
September 23, at Seventh Mountain Resort. All proceeds from Future
Cross benefit the non-profit CXmas Junior Fund, which awards travel
scholarships annually to juniors attending the US National Cyclocross
Championships. This years championships are in Madison, Wisconsin, in
January 2013.
Future Cross will have races for all categories, including Beginners
and Juniors, as well as a Kiddie Cross race for kids 9 and younger.
Juniors 10 to 18 will race in two-year age groups, and all Junior
racers will receive a Honey Stinger Organic Waffle.
Its great that a company like Honey Stinger, which is concerned
about using organic ingredients to make quality energy foods is
stepping up and supporting junior racing, says Powered by Bowen owner
Bart Bowen, who is promoting Future Cross. Its good to teach juniors
about proper nutrition and how it can lead to good sports
performance.
