Hello cx racers,
I have come up with a final plan as to offering bike washing at cx races.
Im going with the $5 bike wash idea with donating $1. However I need ideas as to where to donateNW trail alliance, OBRA juniors, BTA, or just mix it up?
I will be racing in the beginners races so I will not be set up until right after the race. However, I will be there for the remainder of the day. The day before each race I will post if Ill be there and generally where I might be set up.
I have been approached by a few teams and working on sponsorship with them. Part of my sponsorship obligation is to offer them front of the line. So if you see someone cutting the linethey have permission. This is a plan for me to try to become a sponsor for other teams. There are other aspects to me becoming a sponsor, so if any team leaders out there are interested, contact me privately.
One other aspect to the sponsorship is that during the A races, I will be shut down completely to focus on 2 teams as their pit bike washer.
I will have signs posting this info so I hope that I dont catch anyone by surprise of piss anyone off.
This season is kind of a trial run, I worked only two races last year, but this year is way bigger and better. If this whole bike washing thing really takes off, I will reevaluate my plan of attack to supply the demand.
Doing this is not really for the money, its for advertisement. So if you forgot to bring cash and dont want to put your muddy bike in the back seat of your car, you can pay me at the next race. Just one catchyou have to take one of my business cards, if not for you, give it to your neighbor. Ha ha.
Last thingnot bike relatedIm almost done with sealing decks for the year with the rains comings, but keep me in mind for this fall for gutter cleaning.
If you have any feed backplease let me know.
Thanks,
Stewart Campbell
