I'm putting up a $2000 set of Hed Jets which I got in July. I rode them for around $200 miles and actually really like them. A lot. I LOVE the way they sound above all else. They are similar in construction to a Zipp 404 in regards to rim width and depth and design. The 60 mm sidewalls are a faring and are not structural.
The great price is reflective of my lack of athleticism. I stumbled on a dismount and cracked the rear faring when I kicked the wheel. Smooth move. My stumble, your benefit. Even with the crack they ride beautifully; the crack has no impact on the wheel as the carbon is a faring. There is no sense that anything is even wrong. I spoke with Ruckus and they said it can be repaired for $250 and it will be like new.
I would be content to keep them, but I don't TT or ride Tri at this point therefore, I'm looking for a more all-around, lower profile race wheel such as a 303 or DA C35. I'd talk trade if you have something like this that you are looking for a deeper dish wheel such as I am offering. Or for what amounts to $1350 you could have a barely used, super fast set of race or TT or Tri wheels.
If interested, I can send along pictures. In the link you will see the exact set, but decals are black with white outline.
