Hello All,
We are hoping your Saturday plans include our fine race. Most of the team
spent yesterday carving the earth in order to bring you a heightened level
of radical. We've designed something rather special we think, and you can
ride your bike to the race since it is so close! The long radar says we're
looking at sunny, 70 degree temps. Everything is lining up perfectly.
There is a concise blog post with all sorts of useful information here:
http://www.ironcladcycling.com/2012/09/fazio-farms-cx-course-building-extravaganza-we-have-tanks/
Also, some highlights.
1. WE ARE FULL on volunteers. The early birds got the worms.
2. PARKING is SUPER TIGHT. We do have some but not much. Do not park on the
street. Ride your bike since the race is basically due east of PIR, but if
you must drive, carpool please.
3. No, there is not a kiddie cross race at this event. Yes, we have regular
junior fields. Consult the race flier.
4. This is a working farm right here in PDX - show our hosts the Fazio
family respect: PICK UP YOUR GARBAGE. DON"T PISS IN PUBLIC. Be smart folks,
this ain't your first rodeo. If it is your first rodeo, then treat this
venue as you would your own home, please. Leave nothing but footprints,
take nothing but pictures.
5. Taco Pedaler PDX will be there with tasty tacos (breakfast tacos in the
am, regular tacos in the pm). We will have a keg of beer or 3. We will have
more food vendors. If we don't get more, there's food a short 1/2 mile ride
away at a market. Burritos!
6. Please pre-register for all our sakes. Get your money in, and skip the
race day hassle and the lines.
If somehow there are still questions, write me at rider15@gmail.com
Thank you, and we hope to see you ready to race on Saturday.
