William

2012-09-26

This new class offered by Upper Echelon Fitness in NW Portland is intended for those looking to improve their force, power, and body composition during the winter months. The class will be taught as progression where we start with a stabilization phase and progress into strength and power phases. The focus will be on circuit style training with cardio activities mixed in to assist in weight loss, body composition, and cardiovascular improvements. Exercises will also be functional and may incorporate core training, free weights, medicine balls, resistance bands, kettles, plyometrics, and power lifting.

Although the benefits of a strength training program are immense, some highlights include:
-Increased muscular force and muscular endurance
- Increased power production
- Improved muscular tone and body composition
- Injury prevention
- Improved hormone levels
- Increased bone density

This class should be viewed as a progression so attendance from start to finish is highly encouraged. Program packages (October 1st - December 31st) exist and are highly encouraged. Due to the complexity of some of the movements we will be incorporating, space is limited to 10 people.

Pricing
- Drop-in rate is $15 / class
