The 2012 OBRA High School Cyclocross Series kicks off this Sunday at the
challenging Battle of Barlow. It is sure to be an epic event. Corvallis
United returns as the reigning state champions. Who will step up and
challenge them? Look for strong showing from High Cascade (Bend). They have
had the strongest men's team the past two years and have been building the
women's team. Also keep an eye out for the Columbia River Crossers who have
the infamous Hart Sisters. They are sure to rack up some solid team points.
Also I expect something special from Westview. They have imported their own
Dutch Junior CX star. Julian Schobben is an exchange student there and
finished fourth in last year's Netherland Junior National championships!
All, remember to bring your official CX numbers or be ready to throw down $
5 bucks for a replacement. Also bring your OBRA License.
We have Hammer Goodie bags for the first 50 to register. Don't miss a free
bottle, energy bar, and a couple of gel's to get you through the day.
Check our facebook site for the call up list. See you all Sunday. This is
round one of the High School Series, and Round two of the JCS.
