barlow master's c

Hey guys,
I think it VERY RARE if someone T-bones or takes someone out intentionally. Nobody wants to go down, be taken down by somebody who does go down or even get in someone’s way who is a faster rider (Dan’s post). That said. Stuff happens.
I have been cause for someone to go down, slow up and various other old obstacle options. If someone crashes into another racer on purpose, then yes it should be reported. This however, sounds pretty much par for a cross race.
There was a racer in my cat two riders in front of me. He went down in one of the grass corners before heading down toward the creek crossing. The rider right behind him crashed into him and went down, the next rider and I got by both of them. I have no idea if either of the down riders exchanged words, but the rider in my cat just said s**t when I went by. You would have had to been right next to him like myself to hear it. Needless to say I did not report him for improper language and I see he got no warning for crashing just as the rider who went right into him got no warning.
I think it would be nice if everyone involved got through the rest of the season realizing it is the very rare personality (probably in need of therapy) out there who wants to have or make someone else have a bad day racing.
remember to have fun.

On an unrelated note, I want to say thanks to Jarrod Seaman from Buy Local Cycling (at least I think this was you). I was in the 2nd row at the start line and you were in front of me. When I said that I planned on getting out of the gate quickly, you switched places with me & let me go in front. That was extremely kind of you, and helped me out a ton. Hopefully I got out of your way fast enough for you to finish where you wanted....looks like you did really well. Thanks again, I owe you one.

Js,

I am grateful that you posted this comment because it gives me an opportunity to apologize again for a complete mental lapse on my part. I am obviously 526 and I was the "t-boner". I understand that you had your impression of the sequence of events and I may not be able to change your mind on what my mindset was and I will not hesitate to take heat for the outcome. You probably did not notice that I stopped to wait for the unfortunate fellow I took out to get to his feet and offer my sincere apologies. As embarrassing as it is to admit I was looking down and the corner totally took me by surprise. All I can do at this point is ask for forgiveness and assure you and the individual I contacted that racing clean and with honor is of greater value to me than position.

There was a ton of places to pass and there no excuse to crash a guy because you think your Ryan trebon. I filed a complaint with the officials but apparently that did no good and you kept your 9th place.
