Registration - Yes the dreaded card

...and yelling at the volunteers really does resemble the meltdown of a 3 year old....but is much more ugly. Don’t attack your server for bringing your food or obra volunteers for following the rules. Do what needs to be done to make it work. I forgot my number last night, paid 5 bucks for another and showed Mel my card. Treated no different than anyone else. I just melted down in my race!

If you are registering for a new event or picking up a new number you must present proof of membership. This ideally is your membership card. If you do not have this, you will be asked to purchase a one day membership.

There are two reason we ask for this.

1. Our rules require that riders be members

2. The complicated scoring program we use for ccx pullsfrom the online membership. This enables us to use your correct teams and demographics and ensures that it all links on the results page.

Saying ‘Well you know ne” will not work. Yelling and being abusive to the volunteers when you forgot your card just makes you look bad and makes it harder for us to find volunteers.

Please help us make this work

I have been asked by the volunteer registration staff to mention the
registration process.

present proof of membership. This ideally is your membership card. If you do
not have this, you will be asked to purchase a one day membership.

There are two reason we ask for this.
