nails at Alpenrose?

Guys this is not good. A real financial bummer. I wish we could guarantee that that super sharp objects are not around. However, on just about any cross course we get to race, this type of thing can be present. The promoter, landowner and or whoever cannot guarantee there will not be glass, tacks, or other things that could do damage. The guys setting up the course try to do the best they can. You know they do not intend for this to happen. Somethimes these types of thing surface after the surface breaks down and they are uncovered. Some are just there and out of sight.
I hope you two are the only ones, but I know there will be a good number of flats....maybe not from glass or tacks but other hard or edgy objects.
Good luck out there to all of us.

I also got a nice hole in my tire today at the dairy. I'm running tubeless so it could have been worse, but it was $65 I wasn't planing on spending today. :(

ran over an upholstery nail on the descent behind the velodrome while pre-riding earlier today and flatted a brand-new tubular beyond repair with sealant (nail went through the tread and sidewall).

I'd heard that glass and debris were issues at Alpenrose this year, but if someone's leaving nails out on the course, well that's just sick.
