Ninkrossi Race Video

It was a glorious day for cyclocross racing on Saturday. The first
significant rain in months moistened the course on Friday and intermittent
showers kept things interesting on Saturday. Even though the course is 45
minutes from downtown Portland, the Washougal River valley seems like the
middle of nowhere. The setting was beautiful and wisps of mist hanging low
on the trees on the opposite hills and cool temperatures evoked the Fall
and true cross season.

The course was much the same from last year featuring the signature 'N' at
the bottom of the hill. This year much of the course was fully taped with
the very PRO looking pennant flagging. The rain kept the corners exciting
and even produced some slippery sections with some actual gooey mud. And
perhaps the best feature of the course was the FREE BEER you got for
racing. I can tell you that I really appreciated quaffing a Ninkassi Oatis
oatmeal stout after huffing up that hill seven times on my single speed.

Enjoy the video! Lots of racer ass.
