<DIV> It has been my experience being a motorcycle (and auto) support person for many races that the motorcyclist (and rider) usually break enough highway laws to put the driver away for several years. The motorcycles pass when there are double yellow lines, tend to be out there on corners, exceed the speed limit and do lots of other illegal actions all in the name of "being an official." This kind of thing seems to just happen in the heat of the action. I know 'cause I've done it too many times to count.</DIV>
<DIV> Without closed courses, everyone, including motorcycle support and following cars need to adhere to the law of the land. That may be inconvenient, but safety is the first rule of running a race. This makes enforcing centerline infractions more difficult. So be it. </DIV>
<DIV> As to the riders that cross the line to gain an advantage and perhaps risk their well being, remember that bicycle racing is mostly an expensive game. The guys that cheat this way are very rarely anywhere near the front at the finish line. </DIV>
