Hi Ron,

Thanks for attending. Also, thank you for the great feedback, and the input.

We did the double pit in that area the first year. It worked fairly
well (except for some people having a hard time finding it back
there). Another idea is to move the pits out to the grass stretch by
the parking area out front. That doesn't solve the full lap around
issue, but it would certainly make it easier to get to. We'll
consider both options. We're already thinking of ideas for next year!

Here's some additional feedback via our Facebook page:

"Great race! Course was amazing! Can't wait to come back next year!"

"

Another super fun race today. Looking forward to racing it again next year."

"

Fantastic race! So laid back and just easy to get in and out with a
great course. A++"

Thank you to everyone who attended, and the volunteers that helped
make it happen. We had a great time designing this year's course and
seeing everyone have so much fun.

Randy & Crew,
The changes to the course were nice. Nice job of using the assets of the venue. Even though we has some soft spots (hey it is at river level), the dry bumpy back side after the sandy corner took a toll on this old man. The times I rode the sand were fun, the east side in the woods was super sweet this year with the little natural berms on the exits of many corners...........I like natural way better than man made berms. Anyway. This is a good place for a race and it was nice not being on the pavement at all this year. Really fun course! Thanks to all and again the amazing OBRA crew gets the results (for everyone) posted so quickly!
Pit thought below...
I might have put a bike in the pit once or twice last year (nothing at all this year), I do have a suggestion for the pit there. It could have been placed in the middle of course (south of bumpy area after sand and the curves just before the finish) with short driveway entrys from both sides. That would allow a racer who has a problem just after the north pit entry to only have to run / push the bike about half the course instead of a whole lap. It would not have taken that much set-up tear-down. This is for the folks who use the pit.....and can be the difference between them going to get the bike or wheels and feeling like still competing...instead of just giving it up after paying a race entry because it takes the good part of a day to get to pit.
Make it happen again next year Randy.
