So,

Today I was involved in a spectacular crash at the beginning of the Master B 35+ race at PIR. I say "spectacular", because I don't think that I've ever had air time like that before. It took place right at the beginning of the race through the tree switchback section just before the concrete barrier. I was towards the front in about 5th place or so when another rider tried passing me on my right at a high rate of speed. I'm not sure if we hooked bars or something but, before I knew it we were flying though the air. I think that our crash caused another as riders scrambled to get around the yard-sail. It took me a second or two to find my bike as I darted in and out of the way of riders flying towards me.

I'm not miffed nor looking to yell at, or lay blame to my fellow racer but rather, find out what happened... Let me know if you saw this go down or were the cause so that I can better understand what happened and how to avoid something like this in the future. (If you got a pic or video of it, let me know). Really... I've crashed before but this was crazy!

I wasn't hurt, as the tumble took place in a nice soft section of grass and mud, but I was stunned by the crash - and by stunned - I mean loopy, for a few seconds. I didn't remember until later that my head took a good smack and I now have some scratches on my helmet as a memento. I hope that the other rider wasn't injured. I think that he was able to keep going.

Anyway, I'm just trying to get some details on what happened. Thats all.

Cheers,
