chain lube for cx, recommendations

I use Boeshield T-9 as well. I personally think it is pretty amazing. My
chain almost always looks and cleans up well after a dry or muddy race. An
exception can be when there is so very much thick sticky mud that NOTHING
will keep the mud from sticking to EVERYTHING..........except not racing in
it.

In the wet muddy conditions the lube type really doesn't matter to me as I'm
cleaning my chain after my race anyway. the thing you need to do is dry your
chain after your pressure washing, then really soon after re-lube it. it's
the lube at that point which will prevent the rust. if you let the water
sit, then you will rust.

i personally like ATB for lube. for extra rust protection boeshield T9 works
great - especially in wet conditions like now.

Hey y'all

Well as I'm finally racing cx after 4 years of road, I need
a?recommendation?for chain lube that can with stand the abuse of cx racing.

For road, I've been using pro gold, pro link, and I love it for fair
weather. ?But for cx after each race, I notice a bit of
rust?immediately?forming on the chain. ?Of course I?immediately?clean it
and?re-lube?it, but if I get lazy for a few days I want a better lube to
prevent this from happening.

And if anyone says that I should clean it better with my pressure
washer...well...bite me. ?ha ha just kidding.

I'm thinking a wax lube?

Thanks for any?recommendations.

When I don't want to spend time detailing the bike after rinsing, I hit the chain & Dershowitz with WD-40 (Water Displacemt) that helps clean the chain and prevent rust while the bike hangs & I shower, drink beer, eat dinner, watch TV, do laundry and other stuff that is not cleaning the bike.

Ha, that's what I use on my rain bike and i just reduce after every ride. I mix ~50/50 & it kind of cleans as it applies. For cx you're going to need to get that mud off though. :)

Hey y'all

Well as I'm finally racing cx after 4 years of road, I need a recommendation for chain lube that can with stand the abuse of cx racing.

For road, I've been using pro gold, pro link, and I love it for fair weather.  But for cx after each race, I notice a bit of rust immediately forming on the chain.  Of course I immediately clean it and re-lube it, but if I get lazy for a few days I want a better lube to prevent this from happening.

And if anyone says that I should clean it better with my pressure washer...well...bite me.  ha ha just kidding.

I'm thinking a wax lube?

Thanks for any recommendations.
