Well after racing road for 4 years, I'm finally hooked on cyclocross.  I now understand why y'all have been wanting me to give it a try...it's just plain ole' FUN!!!

So the $5 bike washing is slowly catching on.  It's a long day for me, racing beginners then washing bikes until I'm the last car out of the parking lot at 5pm.  But it's cool seeing different bike setups, component differences, frame preferences, I build all my own bikes, I'm fascinated by bikes, and it's pretty cool offering the service to clean bikes.  It's also cool when the line slows down, to be able to shoot the sh*t with new faces and friends out at the races.

Anyhow, I'll be out at Edgefield this Saturday racing in the beginners and then at my wash station all day.  I'm not sure where I'll be yet, but I've got an older Toyota 4x4 and OBRA donated me one of their old canopies to use. It sounds like Ken McLarty put on a pretty good race.  I heard the course has one steep hill and a super steep run-up that is almost like a stair case or more like a ladder.
