Justin was such a kind and giving person. We need more people like him, not
less.
We shared a few fun times, volunteering and good conversation. Just not
enough. Now never again.
Do not take these wonderful relationships we have with friends and family
for granted. Give them your time. Show them you care. You will be
rewarded in return.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Justin Drawbert

I am saddened to report that one of our OBRA racers, Justin Drawbert
passed away this past Monday the 12th. There will be a celebration of
his life on Wednesday, November 28th at 6pm at The Sweet Hereafter on
Belmont between SE 33rd and 34th in Portland. Justin was a member of
the Trailhead team and was a familiar face behind the scenes
volunteering at countless short track and cyclocross races. Justin
loved racing and was known for his tenacity- and as a friend wrote,
"He may not have been the fastest, but by god he always finished." We
will all miss him.

I just want to say that single speeders have been hammered this year. Three very serious incidents.

I am very sorry to hear about Justin. While I'm out of racing forever and riding is kind of tricky for me, I'll try to make it to one of the two race tributes.

Also,
For anyone who knew him, rode with him, raced with him, or just want
to honor his memory - some of us will be donning black in the single
speed races at both PIR and Krugers this weekend.

I encourage you to respectfully join (try not to muck up Justin's
favorite category) if you so desire.
