Or maybe your friendly OBRA member that has been there? CoC, LBS, VI,
local trail maps, etc...all good - except that the riding experience and
quality of trails is something not easily found from those sources. Yeah,
maybe check some local MTB or bike clubs to see if they have info etc ...
Remember that some resources are kept on the D.L. Think about the
Scappoose trails ... for years it was just quiet rumor. It was a long time
before it was posted about on local websites and trail groups. And ... to
this day - no published trail maps exist, as the land owner wants it. If
you found a reference to those trails, would you know whether it was worth
it to go ride there? Syncline trails are another similar riding area.
Asking for personal experiences in an area is something I think this list
is very good for. I'd be willing to bet you that Chad is also checking the
inter-web and various other sources. I personally always appreciate the
opinion of my peers on riding quality and options.
Sorry Chad - I don't have any riding experiences to share regarding Sedona!
