GPTB rocked

Each course we race is so unique! They can be Jekyll and Hyde like as well.
A great example of this is Canby. Jekyll one time, Hyde the next! I
personally love courses that make you really stay alert and think almost the
whole circuit. So more technical, the more they get my love and at times
skin! Yesterday the Winter Cross course was almost perfect with regard to
conditions. This venue might be the place that offers the most options of
all the races I have done over the years. I love other courses as well, but
this one is special for some reason. I like Ninkrossi much, but Winter
Cross is pretty amazing. I wish I could make it down to the Southern Oregon
courses to not just support them, but enjoy what is probably great racing
locations!

And.............I agree with Rob about the Santa Cross race coming up in
Corvallis. Corvallis is a supreme central location for many people to
potentially make a race appearance. Having gone to OSU, I know how
wonderful the area is in the central valley. They built the Hospital after
I left, but I know it is on the North fringes of the city off Hwy 99W. It
is on a hill on the West side of the Hwy.
What would be great from the promoter or course designer is if they could
post a description of the course. The map is very nice, but just an idea of
types of surface, elevation (don't need specifics) gain etc. Just give
folks an idea of what to expect.

The promoter, sponsors and volunteers need to be commended for supporting a
good cause in the process of doing a race. That is my reason to register
day of as to send more $ to Pastega House. Keeping this good cause in
mind, I also urge fellow racers to not spend all their available funds on
bike related toys or tools, but to consider donations or volunteerism to the
many other worthwhile needs of our communities / society. Not just this
time of year, but year-round.
Let show up and support the Corvallis race. It would be good to plant the
seed in that community. And do not to make it to Redmond Golf #2 if you
can.

I'll join the chorus of people thanking everyone who made the GPTB series so
much fun (promoters, OBRA officials, volunteers, vendors and all the
bell-ringing hecklers).

After years of only road racing I caved and gave 'cross a try this season
and your events were all awesome. The variety of challenges, from sand to
huge run-ups to N-shaped chicanes to yesterday's mud-filled tunnel made each
event special and the whole series a tremendous challenge. I've never
stayed this motivated this late into a year. So motivated, in fact, I'm
really hoping someone can tell us if the Santa Cross race on 12/16 is a go.
Because if not, I'm gonna start bathing my liver in egg nog.

Cheers,

Rob Thompson

I spoke to the Giant rep. Paul at Psycho Cross last Saturday. Giant is one
of the main sponsors the Santa Cross. He was promoting the race. So as of
right now it sound like it is on.

Riding cx to the very end. See ya in Corvallis,

Chris
