Last week I was proud to share with the OBRA community that our team had
gained a new sponsor for 2013-14. Tonight I learned that someone in our
midst took it upon himself to call up the sponsor and harass them about it.
Sponsors are rare in this world and in these times and take a lot of work to
get involved. They want to participate mostly to support bicycle racing and
be part of our world. Some idiot senselessly undermining that is affront to
me, my teammates and OBRA in general.
I'm irritated, but mostly I feel sorry for a person who has so little to do
in his life than to take the time to pick up the phone and make that call.
