Edgar is powerful stuff, and wow it interesting to say the least to learn about
the culture, the thinking, how it happened, how it developed, where it came
from, etc, etc.  only partially in and Andy Hampsten's comments were really
interesting..

Hamilton’s tone of openness in his book is, in my opinion worthy of trust. He is more wise now and understands the power of honesty. I am not saying everything printed was factual, but the detail and ability to put it in context makes me a believer of widespread doping that was taking place and his personal experiences. I also think Coyle would hold him to the facts and do the research needed to verify Tyler’s recent past history lesson.
Even though I was not surprised how much doping was the norm at that level, the most troubling aspect to me is how the UCI really did next to nothing to work toward ending the drug use. They might just be the most significant reason it took place so freely. Acting dumb, to ensure personal gain is nothing new to human behavior.
People racing will still cheat if they feel enough pressure to do it. It will happen at the pro level and it will happen here in the OBRA community because we all are capable of doing it under the right (or should I say wrong) situation.
Maybe Lance will start a new chapter in his life. He is young. He can still live a positive life. It really is his choice. No matter what comes of this interview, there will be many opinions regarding the content.
just my opinion.
