I've ridden the one my friend picked up at Western Bikeworks, where they apparently still have these for right around $2k. It is a neat bike.
My opinions:
As a cross racing bike, it would be a fine mid-level option.
As a PNW rain bike, it is among the best options going. It is light--much lighter than my otherwise fairly comparable 2010 Focus Mares Disc--has sensible specs, and has nicely hidden eyelets for fenders front and rear. Plenty of clearance for fenders and 28mm tires. Mechanical discs stop immediately in the wet, save your rims, have plenty of power, and don't have the maintenance price tag of hydraulics even if you could get them. The downsides: Cannondale should have spec'd BB7's instead of their house brand brakes (which I haven't tried--conceivably they could be ok). And, for road, need to swap rings for 34 50. Also, I'd prefer a white or bright paint job for visibility.

Hey OBRA-land!
My brother-in-law is considering purchasing a used 2013 Cannondale
CAADX Disc cyclocross bike. I don't know much about Cannondale's
line, so I thought I'd ask all of you bright and shiny cyclists if any
of you have feedback on this bike? Would love to hear good, bad, and
the ugly if you've got any direct experience with it, or some of the
major parts listed below. Thanks gang!

The frame is aluminum alloy, fork is carbon bladed, I think Cannondale
spec'd/branded.
Thanks!
