The City, along with Washington County, is currently in the final stages of
an ODOT funding request to construct a mid-block crossing for Rock Creek
Trail at Cornell Road. We are one of 53 projects (totaling over $50
million) competing for $8.5 million of available funds. If you or someone
you know uses the Trail or would like to support this improvement, please
take a second (or about five minutes) to fill out the ODOT public input
survey below (it is project #61 under Portland & Washington County) by Jan
31, 2013:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TE_OBPAC2012

The finished product will look like this recently completed crossing at
Evergreen Pkwy:

Thanks and feel free to pass this on. The more support the better!

P.S. You can learn more about the ODOT grant opportunity at
http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/TD/AT/Pages/TE_OBPAC.aspx#Project_Selection_Information

Apparently, one can also show support via phone: leave a message at one of
these ODOT numbers: 503) 986-3528 or (503) 986-3555

Grants are a very competitive process, so every contact helps. Would you
please spread the word and urge others to indicate their support? Thanks!
