I saw Zak doing his bike messenger gig in our bldg a few weeks ago and he
mentioned going to Berlin. Would love to see some video of this! I got the
chance in 2000 to do some Sat am steher training at Alkmaar velodrome near
Amsterdam. They were training new motorcycle guys. My Dutch friends set me
up with a 63 X 16 "training" gear. Once the driver and I got used to each
other, we were up to 70 kph consistently. The 24" front wheel was very cool
and provided great stability. Would love to do it again but I'm probably
too old now... Go Zak!
