No you do not need to be on a team or club to be in the TT cup, just an OBRA member.  I'll double check the 2013 rules to make sure that is stated more clearly.  Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Looking forward to the TT cup competition this year. Participated last year, got a few points, hope to do better this year.

Question tho -- Article III of the rules states that although "any rider may participate" you apparently have to be on an "OBRA club which is a member in good standing with OBRA" to "qualify for competition" in the TT Cup Series.

Gotta say I'm scratching my head on this one. Not that I personally am capable of doing so, but I presume there are some fast lone wolves out there who will be denied the Cup if they're not on a team? Should I safely ignore this, or will this rule also be enforced in 2013??

I agree, that does not make much sense and is a real dissincentive to
participation. I appeal to the series organizers to rethink this.
