Greetings!



I have reports of foul and abusive language and unsportsmanlike conduct at

this past weekend's Mudslinger. I have written statements from witnesses

describing one rider overtaking another in an aggressive fashion using

abusive language and physical force to gain advantage.



They were not even racing in the same category.



I'm not at liberty to discuss too many details, but suffice it to say the

matter is being dealt with. The rider will not be allowed to race for

another two months - the maximum license suspension allowed by OBRA regs.



I have separate accounts of rude or abusive language from other riders in

the same event. Two OBRA officials and several race promoters were also

racing the event and witnessed these incidents.



As Candi, Mike and many others have stated, bike racing is supposed to be

FUN, even if you are serious about it. Above all, respect for the other

competitors, officials, promoters and volunteers is essential to keep things

working properly.
