Unfortunately this is a market item. It is not possible to have races for all possible divisions of ages, genders and abilities. There is limited time in the day, officials, follow vehicles, etc. Race organizers pick the fields that meet the needs of their events. Although there are a fair amount of 60+ riders there are way more in the categories that are generally run. Most race organizers want to have the most races for the most people so categories like 60+ aren't generally run. From personal experience I can tell you this is just another example of how getting older can suck.

Yes, you are right. If you look at the early spring road races there are no categories for older racers. You shouldn't be expected to race with others 2+ decades younger than you or even 1 decade younger. Write the race organizers and let them know.
