I forgot to grab the GPS out of my wife's van and I used that theory to get to Washougal last year!

I just try to get close, then start following the cars with expensive bikes on top. Chances are good that they are: 1) going to the race, 2) better at directions than I am.

Well, I went to the Dirty Circles web site and found using the directions that is seemed to stage on Dike Rd. in Woodland, WA. I opened up Google Maps on my Galaxy S3 and typed in "dike rd" and it promptly gave me a helpful list of options which included "Dike Rd. Woodland, WA." I selected that one and what do you know, it looked to land about right where I would like to go. I hit the "Get Directions" button and voila, there I was.

I know that was kind of snarky. But sometimes figuring out a street address can be onerous -- especially for certain mtb races.

I agree that it could be handy to have some easily mapped terminus specified in this age of GPS and smart phones. But I think that most clever bike racers can figure out a way to map to terminus give promoter directions.

I love you. You make it possible for me to go out and obliterate myself weekend after weekend - and frequently get my arse kicked to keep my ego in check.

But - you drive me absolutely nuts. :) Okay - it's just a little thing, but I would LOVE to ask if you could PLEASE add a "proper" address to your race information/fliers. Yes, it's great to have the turn by turn directions. Yes, it helps some people. But - I keep trying to put that in my GPS, and it says "huh?".

Would love it if you would all add a simple, mappable address. Many of us (probably the majority ...) have GPS enabled mapping capable smart phones. Some of us have car navigation mapping.

Thank you for listening ...
