Tips for pinning on race numbersYou can even pin one number on each side and then leave them on. Good quality pins will not rust in the wash.
I pin the kids numbers on once and leave them on for the season. Another hint is to get the same number two years in a row then you will have 4 numbers pin-- two onto your warmer jersey and two on your short sleved and not have to worry about them no matter the weather.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Tips for pinning on race numbers
Tired of race numbers that flap in the wind stealing precious seconds in your TT? Frustrated that a crease may have cost you a place on the podium? Perhaps this method may work for you.
? The night before your race, slip a pillow the size of your torso into your race jersey.
? Place your race numbers on your jersey in the position and manner prescribed by the OBRA officials, smoothing out creases and folds.
? Pin your race numbers on, pinching up enough fabric as you pin so as to avoid pinning your pillow as well. I use at least eight small brass safety pins per number. If you wish to use pins that match the color of your jersey, that's up to you.
? Gently ROLL your jersey off your pillow. This will avoid stretching and tearing the fabric.
? VOILA! You have a jersey with crease and fold-free numbers that you will be proud to display on race day.
