I know this is a long shot as there are not many people on this list that
have been around longer than I have but is there anyone who know about the
stuff below?

Hello Mike, I wonder if you could help me. I am currently writing the
biography of a guy called Barry Harvey - originally a Brit, he emigrated to
Canada in the late 1960s and rode well on the track for Canada, going to a
number of world champs and the Cali Pan-Ams in 1971. In May 1972 he had
been selected for the Canadian cycling team for the Munich Olympics and was
riding in a big meet at your velodrome - I don't know what date. He
crashed and that actually ended his career. It had quite an impact on his
life and also on our team at Munich (which I managed) and I am trying to
find the date of the meeting - there were some international riders there
from Australia etc. so I know it was a fairly major one. I am in touch
with David Mulica (who is still riding I understand) who was in the same
race and have asked if be can remember the date, but if you could help - or
point me in the right direction, it would be most useful, it would be great
to talk with someone who might remember it, the crash took place in the
scratch race which was the last on the programme that day I believe. Hope
you can help. Regards

Mike Breckon (now living in the UK)
