Helping wounded Veterans through cycling...

Greetings OBRA-collective,
I've spent the past year involved with an organization called "Team 4Mil" which uses adaptive cycling clinics and events to help wounded Veterans recover, rehabilitate, and reintegrate.

Most notably, we've helped a wounded Veteran 8-man relay complete the Race Across America each of the past two years (and have partnered with Walter Reed and Team RWB for 2013). Further, we just funded and opened a Computrainer Lab at Walter Reed. However, we are expanding our breadth in 2013.

I've recently lost my wounded Veteran partner for the RAAM Challenge in Portland, Oregon (he was "upgraded" to the full-RAAM Team) so I'm looking for the following:

1. A Veteran with visible or invisible wounds who would like to participate in the RAAM Challenge event in Portland on May 11, 2013.
2. A couple of volunteer drivers to support the event.

For riders (there can be more than one), Team 4Mil provides travel, food, lodging, and all necessary support for the event so a deserving Veteran does NOT need to be local.

If you know of a rider who is battling back from injuries incurred in service to country, please feel free to contact me and let's discuss some ways Team 4Mil might help.

Regards,
